The SpatialOS Game Jam: the prizes, categories and rules

If any added incentive was needed to sign up for our thrilling SpatialOS game jam, we can now reveal the fantastic prizes and categories that you’ll be competing over for the duration of the event.

As a reminder, the jam will be running from Friday 10th February at 18:00 GMT until Sunday 12th February 2017 at 18:00 GMT.

Registration details can be found in the original blog post announcement.

Categories, Prizes & Judges

Category: “Showing promise”

Judged by Improbable’s founder and CEO Herman Narula, this will be rewarded to the entry that shows the most promise as an actual game.

Prize: This is a big prize – Improbable will help you make your game!

We’ll take your idea and work with you to turn your game into a reality. This will involve us organising several weeks of extended jamming at the winning team’s convenience – we’ll throw engineers, animations, VFX and concept art at the project to see how far we can take it together.

Additional rules regarding prizes

  • Max team size of five. One prize per winner per team (a team of 5 people will each win 1 prize of their choice, mailed to you after the game jam, at our convenience).
  • If an Improbable employee is on your team, you are still eligible for all the prizes: but the employee can not win! (Don’t worry, they will be rewarded internally).
  • We will try to ensure one game doesn’t win all of the prizes, but there are no guarantees!
